Karina's Philosophy

Karina Peña

per.2
My Philosophy
My personal philosophy of life is to be kind, generous, helpful, and honest,to live a happy life,be grateful for what i have in life,to appreciate myself at all time ,make the best of things, don’t be hypocritical and don’t make assumptions.
Part of my personal philosophy is to not judge others or make assumptions. An example is a quote from Lauryn Hill “juat because a erson smiles all the time,Doesn’t mean their life is perfect. That smile is a symbol of hope and strength”.What this quote means to me is that looks can be deceiving. You may think something about that person but you are wrong as hell because you don't know whats going on in their lives;are they having family, economic, relationship, personal problems? No one but them can know but smiles are just a lie to our society,no one can truly tell how someone is feeling. We only know if we were placed in their shoes,in their position. They smile to look forward to the positive things coming for them even though they have such pain and sorrow amongst them they can also carry with themselves hope and strength.A very little amount but just enough to have them wake up everyday and keep on with their days no matter what obstacles come towards them. Another example would be “Hypocrites always want to play innocent always want to take it to the extent always to make it seem like good intent never want to face it when it’s time for punishment”. What this quote means to me is that people that judge you, when confronted will deny everything they said. They will always try to make it seem like they are innocent and never said anything wrong for there greater good. When they do own up to their hypocrisy they will try to convince you it was to better you,to make things better,.Hypocrites will always talk but when they will never own up to it.
Another part of my philosophy is to live life and just make the best out of it.For example “ We can’t plan life. All we can do is be available for it.”What this quote means to me is that we can't plan out things were going out because things unplanned for always happen and change the course in which things end up.We pretty much have to live day by day and be willing to overcome any obstacles that crosses our path and just make the best off things No matter what every day will be a mystery to us and the past would be history because you can't change the past just make the future work. Another example “ Fantasy is what people want, but reality is what they need. What this quote means to me is that Fantasy is what everyone wishes for because sometimes reality can be disappointing for them.Fantasy is their escape to "tomorrow land",it's where they go when reality is not satisfying and hope for things to go or have gone a different way.Fantasy is our only escape to happiness and joy but we can't always live in our fantasies because reality won't stop for our little fantasies.
A last part of my philosophy is to right with yourself,to be happy. “How you gonna win when you aint right within.”I believe this quote means means that if your not happy with your self, you will never be happy.I also believe it means that if you have problems or conflicts always on your mind you wont be able to succeed.it also means how do to good if your not right with yourself,if you struggle on a day to day basis.Another example is “Everyone tries to impress that special someone, but if you cant get them by being yourself then they cant be that special.”What this quote means to me is,why change yourself for someone else?If they cant seen  you for who YOU are they aren't worth your time. They aren't that special if they don't see you for who you are even though you think they are your "world" reevaluate yourself because do they see you that way.Someone who doesn't see you for who you are isn't worth getting your attention no matters how you feel towards them.My personal philosophy makes me,me.My aspiration in life is to be happy and i feel like i can achieve that if i continue with my philosophy.

Demi Lovato Quotes

I chose the quote ''Never be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want, and to do what makes you happy.'' by Demi Lovato because I feel like I can deeply connect with this quote because a lot of people tell you that you cant feel this way because either you a male and you have to be strong and not cry or either if you are a female you shouldn’t cry a lot because that makes you too vulnerable to men or your feelings. This quote contradicts that saying because this quote tell you to not go by what people discriminate because being unique is a good thing. This quote also means that you have the right to feel any emotion that pleases you because you have the right to express your self. I also believe it is trying to say that you shouldn’t be afraid of natural emotions.

I chose the quote "Never be ashamed of a scar it simply means you were stronger than what ever tried to hurt you" I chose this quote because I can deeply relate to what it means because when I was in middle school I always felt alone because of family problems that I had that involved me always being afraid of getting close to people and I just had always felt like I couldn’t count on anyone so I turned to cutting myself as a strategy to make me feel better. As I began to get older my scars began to fade away and when I stared at them for a while I would always tell myself that I was stupid for doing it until I was able to look at what Demi was saying and what she was saying made me feel better about the scars and it showed me that I was going to be okay and that it was a moment of time where I needed to recooperate myself because I was already strong I just needed to be stronger. I also chose this quote because it helped me get through a lot.

I chose the quote "You're stronger than you think you are keep pushing forward, never give up on your dreams, and don't let anyone stop you" because I was always told that I would become pregnant at 16 and never amount to anything by family members. When they used to tell me that I would believe it and not prove them wrong. One day I realized that I had the power to do something about it and prove them wrong. This quote relates to my philosophy because I needed to prove to them that I was strong and succeed beyond their imaginations. This quote to me also means that they shouldn’t be the ones who control my life because I have the power to do so. I also chose this quote because it means a lot to me and I know that this quote helped me get through a time when I doubted myself.

I chose the quote " It’s going to be ok. No matter how hard your rock bottom is, you can rise above it and you can come back." because many people hit rock bottom and they feel like they cant get their life back together and they just want to end their life because they don’t think they have a purpose. In reality they can get through anything it just all takes time and patience to deal with getting better. This quote is apart of my philosophy because I believe that if you get hurt then it will be hard then of course you’re going to feel like you cant do anything right but you can. This shows that no matter what situations you go through you can always come back 10x's a better, healthier you. This also shows that people should begin to realize that they could get better and make it through what ever they are going through. No matter what it is they will get through it.

I chose the quote "Everyday is a new opportunity to change your life and be who you want to be" because this is telling people that everyday they can make a positive change in their life because everyday is a new day. This shows that everyday you can either make a difference in your life if you want; it’s all up to you. I also think that this quote can gibe you the strength that someone would need to do to make a positive change in your life. This quote also expresses that you have everyday to be whom you really are without trying to prove it. Everyday is a new day to make a positive change to become you.

Lauryn Hill Summary

Lauryn Hill (born May 26, 1975) is an American singer–songwriter, rapper, producer, and actress. She is best known for being a member of the Fugees and for her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Raised in South Orange, New Jersey, Hill began singing with her music-oriented family during her childhood. She enjoyed success as an actress at an early age, appearing in a recurring role on the television soap opera As the World Turns and starring in the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. In high school, Hill was approached by Pras Michel to start a band, which his cousin, Wyclef Jean, soon joined. They renamed themselves the Fugees and released two studio albums, Blunted on Reality (1994) and the Grammy Award-winning The Score (1996), which sold six million copies in the United States. In the latter record, Hill rose to prominence with her African-American and Caribbean music influences, her rapping and singing, and a rendition of the hit "Killing Me Softly". Hill's tumultuous romantic relationship with Jean led to the split of the band in 1997, after which she began to focus on solo projects.
